I'm Jakob Rose, a freelance videographer and editor. Originally from the Pacific pine-tree-riddled forests of Washington, I moved to Tennessee in 2020, and have been in the industry since then, assuming the moniker jbradrose.
I started small-time video editing with family-made short films around 2015 and continued to build up my skills since then. Starting with various small YouTube channels, I practiced various forms of editing and even experimented with website and graphic design before getting my first few paid video gigs. After doing so, I decided I wanted to completely devote myself to the craft, and I did.
I particularly specialize in creative video editing but I can also direct a camera crew with ease. If you need an editor with a knack for story or a camera guy who knows what he's doing, I'm the guy to call.
Most of my technical videography knowledge lies in the Sony line of camera equipment, of which I've shot on cameras ranging from the A6700 all the way to the FX6, in either auto and manual focus, and with various ND and diffusion filters. I've shot handheld on shoulder rigs, with gimbals, tripods, and sliders, in professional studio settings and amateur films. I've also remotely shot indoor events with Canon PTZ cams.
I have edited in Davinci Resolve since 2019, and Premiere Pro since 2022, although I find myself in Premiere more nowadays. I also have intermediate knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects. I'm indifferent to MacOS or Windows as I have interchanged between the two all my life.
